Who we’re looking for

We are looking for skilled interior craftsmen with a strong background in finish carpentry to make our South Jersey customers’ home improvement dreams a reality. Our ideal candidates will have:

  • A strong working knowledge of finish construction materials, tools, and techniques
  • A keen awareness of and attention to nuance and detail
  • Competence in math and geometry — accurately calculating measurements and angles is critical
  • Well-developed fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
  • Teamwork mentality – sharing ideas, trade knowledge and a willingness to learn
  • Natural propensity to work in a clean and organized fashion
  • Ability to articulate to customers, trade partners, and Ayars team time frames ideas and expectations.

A vanity, shower, sink, or toilet shift can mean opening walls, rerouting pipes, and working around floor joists. Sometimes keeping the layout close to the original saves a lot of money. 2️⃣ Opening up a kitchen affects more than the wall. It can involve electrical, HVAC, framing, support beams, permits, and inspections. That open concept look is beautiful, but it needs to be planned the right way. 3️⃣ Matching old flooring is rarely perfect. If walls are coming down or rooms are being opened up, those patch areas can be tough to blend. Sometimes refinishing or replacing the full floor gives you the cleanest finished look. 4️⃣ Tile removal usually means drywall repair.
