Since founding the company in 1970, my focus has always been on building a business defined by craftsmanship, integrity, and long-term quality. While the remodeling industry continues to evolve—with new technologies, materials, and processes—true craftsmanship has remained the constant.
After decades of leadership and the privilege of teaching sales and business courses nationally, I have stepped away from daily operations and passed leadership to the next generation. Today, I enjoy retirement while staying closely connected to the company, often stopping in to see the continued growth, innovation, and level of workmanship being carried forward.
Seeing the company evolve—while remaining rooted in the values that built it—has been deeply rewarding. The future of the trades is strong, and I’m proud to watch the next generation raise the bar on what craftsmanship can be.
Joshua Ayars
As President, my focus is on continued growth while remaining relentlessly customer-centric. Every decision we make is guided by client satisfaction, clear communication, and delivering an experience that reflects the standards our name represents in the community.
I have a passion for making things better—refining processes that improve the customer experience, investing in continued education for our craftsmen, and thoughtfully adopting new products and technologies that elevate our work. Eric Haas
I spent years learning the trades from my father before branching out on my own for more than a decade, building a business and reputation rooted in quality craftsmanship. Finish carpentry has always been my true passion. I enjoy defining interior spaces through custom details that elevate a project and set it apart.
Since joining Ayars in 2017, my role has evolved into overseeing all active projects and continually refining the skills of our carpenters. I work closely with customers, vendors, subcontractors, inspectors, and our craftsmen to ensure every job is executed efficiently and professionally—without ever compromising quality or craftsmanship.
Raising the bar is a daily commitment. Whether it’s honing the skills of our team, deepening my understanding of building science, or expanding product knowledge, I’m driven by the pursuit of better outcomes and higher standards. The challenge of continuous improvement is what keeps the work rewarding and ensures we consistently put our best foot forward.
Sharon Vick
I’m committed to growing with technology while staying current with design trends and evolving products. Just as important, I believe in listening carefully to each client’s vision and bringing industry knowledge forward to help guide informed decisions.
My experience includes expanded skill sets in cabinetry layout and design, along with a deep understanding of materials, finishes, and product options. I know product selection can feel overwhelming and time-consuming, and my role is to simplify that process while keeping it aligned with your goals and predetermined budget.
I work closely with clients throughout the entire pre-planning and design phase—attending showroom visits, coordinating appointments with retail partners, refining layouts, reviewing samples, and adjusting designs as needed. From the first consultation through final selections, I’m there every step of the way to ensure the process is organized, informed, and ultimately results in a space that reflects your vision.
Butch Arcolesse
I’ve had a long-standing relationship with the company and take a great deal of pride in being part of the team. As a senior carpenter, I bring a strong commitment to customer service and a genuine care for the people we work with every day.
I’m passionate about showing up, putting in the effort, and doing my part to support both our clients and our crew. I believe consistency, dependability, and a positive attitude matter just as much as the work itself. I take ownership of my responsibilities and approach each project with patience, respect, and attention to detail.
What drives me most is people. I enjoy building relationships, helping clients feel comfortable throughout the process, and contributing to a job site that feels organized, welcoming, and professional. Being part of this company for so many years has been meaningful to me, and I remain committed to giving my best every day.
Ethan Lipman
I have a strong appreciation for detail and precision in every part of the work I do. Craftsmanship runs in my family—my grandfather was a woodworker—and that early influence shaped both my respect for the trade and my commitment to doing things the right way.
I enjoy all aspects of carpentry and take pride in understanding how each phase of a project contributes to the finished result. I’m focused on continuous growth and committed to expanding my knowledge, refining my techniques, and learning from every project and every person around me.
My goal is to become a well-rounded craftsman and a reliable source of knowledge within the company. I approach each day with the mindset of listening, learning, and improving—absorbing as much as I can and applying it consistently in the field.
