Bathroom Remodeling Contractors South Jersey Loves
The remodeling process was really seamless. The first thing they did when they came into my home was lay down protective covers on all of my floors. They swept up after themselves.
Any tools that needed to be stored in my house were stored in a small area and stored neatly. Very respectful of my house, very respectful of me and they all did a fantastic job — I couldn’t be happier.
-Sue, Homeowner
“We had 2 bathrooms that needed to be remodeled while we were on vacation. Ayars did amazing work in a 10-day window of time. The staff, especially Eric and Chuck, were extremely helpful throughout and the work that was done by the carpenters is first class! Thanks again, Ayars!”
The entire Ayars crew from start to finish were wonderful! From Sharon, the assistant, to Ethan, Eric, Tom, and everyone in between, especially Josh. The process was so smooth and easy. It went so fast and I’m so grateful for the finished product! My bathroom is absolutely my favorite place to sit and relax. Thank you!!

Bathroom FAQs
It depends. A permit is required in New Jersey if the bathroom remodel involves moving water supply & drains, new electrical work, and structural changes, which may include adding windows or moving a bearing wall. Ayars pulls all permits required for each project as part of the standard scope.
Typical large master bathrooms are typically 100-120 square feet or larger. A functional South Jersey master bathroom accommodates a walk-in shower, a comfort-height double vanity, a comfort-height elongated toilet, and dedicated storage. A more generous master bathroom includes separate zones for bathing (ideally a freestanding tub), showering, toileting, grooming, and linen/laundry storage.
Pressure issues typically stem from the size of the supply lines feeding the bathroom. Sometimes old showerheads with hard water or calcium build-up may be the culprit. On occasion, something as simple as a new showerhead combined with an upgraded transfer valve increases both pressure and flow volume. Pairing these with a handheld wand and drop ell creates a fully customized shower. Precision temperature control and steam settings are additional upgrades homeowners often add during a remodel.
Prevent shower mold with three measures: vent exhaust fans to the exterior (never to the attic), run the fan for 60 minutes after every shower (timer switches automate this), and quality grout & silicone at all joints. A growing trend has been minimizing grout lines with larger-format tile. Heated floors that include the shower floor offer tremendous benefits in aiding the drying process, with some showers now being equipped with air drying systems to air-dry the shower in minutes. Moisture in a bathroom is inevitable; damage from moisture is preventable.
Capitalize on vertical space. Floating wall-mounted shelves, recessed built-in shelves, over-the-toilet cabinets, and full-height linen cabinets add storage without encroaching on floor space. A vanity with drawers and pullouts (rather than open-door cabinets with single shelves) roughly doubles usable storage in the same footprint.
Yes, but basement bathrooms require specific considerations that above-grade bathrooms do not — most notably, how waste exits the home. If the main sewer line sits above the basement floor, a macerating toilet or sewage ejector pump is required. Waterproofing, ventilation, and moisture control are also more demanding below grade. Ayars handles the full scope, including permits, plumbing, and finish work.
Yes, optional add-on bidet seats have become extremely popular. Fully integrated toilets with washlets from Kohler and Toto can offer an even more elevated experience with seamless integrations. Preset user settings, air dryers, and warm water are all common feature sets. Having an outlet (often dedicated) behind the toilet is a requirement.
We include specialty coatings on our shower glass. From standard glass kits to custom frameless showers, we always recommend these specialty coatings to help prevent the build-up of hardwater stains. Using a squeegee to wipe down the glass always helps, and we provide a specialty cleaner available at all major stores as a complimentary parting gift.
